    Isles' Tavares has broken foot

    New York Islanders center John Tavares reportedly sustained a fracture to his right foot while playing for Canada at the World Hockey Championships in Germany last month.
    TSN is reporting that Tavares took a shot off his foot during the tournament but the injury was not diagnosed until Wednesday. Tavares, the No. 1 pick in the 2009 Entry Draft, led the tournament with seven goals -- although Canada did not make the medal round.
