Need some help with this Jordan

I just found this card in my closet and only noticed it because I didn't even know Collectors Choice made gold parallels of Mini cards.

Scan is a little hard to see but the bottom is gold and the first letter of each of their names are gold.

I know the card is from 96-97 Collectors choice but I cant find it in my Beckett anywhere.

Here is what I am having a problem with. The 96-97 Collectors Choice minis in the Beckett I am looking at are numbered Mxxx. This card is #'d B1 on each mini.

In the Beckett the gold version is listed as 5x to 10x the Hi value. Since card #1 wasn't listed so I looked to the common card price(which a card with Jordan on it shouldn't be) and it says Common Card (M2-M178). What happened to card M1 which should be the card above.

I am trying to get an accurate book value of the card but am having trouble. Going by the common card of a gold version it would be $1. Going by the other Jordan mini that is listed in the Beckett with Kemp and Hardaway on it the card would book $40. I know it will be less than the Kemp/Hardaway mini since Kerr/Harper aren't as good.

I don't know if I found a diamond in the rough in my closet or just another $2 BV card. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

What you have here is a card that came as part of a team set (i knew this right away when you said what the number on the back is). I actually had a set myself as a kid, but like most kids I had a hard time trying to keep them all together at the time :)

Not very rare, but it's a cool card

Thanks for the info Italy. Thats what I figured just another cheap Collectors Choice card. I kind of got excited when I looked in the Beckett and saw the Jordan/Kemp/Hardaway card booked $40.

My problem now is I am trying to figure out how the hell I got this card if it came in a team set. I don't remember buying any team sets as a kid although I did bust a ton of wax and those 100 cards for $5 packet things. I used to go to the trailer park and mow like 20 lawns at $5 a pop and go to the store and get a box.

I never tore the Minis apart as a kid but I did use the Collectors Choice stickers to sticker the hell out of my binders.

    Thanks again man.

Broken up...those usually fetch about $1-$3...people like to try to sell them as 'GOLD' versions..rare and expensive..obviously not though. Still...I have 1 or 2 myself..I LIKE them..lol.

I have that set myself. I also have the Lakers team set which has Kobe's rookie in that set.
