Is this Jr's last year with Hendrick?
Just thinking....
I mean, Martin's in the 5 next year. Hendrick has Kahne signed for 2011 and beyond....why wouldn't you toss Jr. to the curb and put Kasey in the 25/88 for a year, then let him jump into the 5 when Mark retires?
Plus, then that would open the door for Hendrick to get back the guy he's in love with--Keselowski for that 25/88.
Seems like a legit possibility. Jr. can't do anything in Hendrick equipment, and enough should be enough for Rick. Any lesser named driver would've already been gone, but it's tough to look past all that endorsement money he brings in.
I honestly think Rick will have a 2012 team of Johnson/Gordon/Kahne/Keselowski.
Opinions?

Idk-Keso is too much of a troublemaker for Rick-just like Kyle was-I can see a lineup of Gordon/Johnson/Jr/Kahne for 2012 though. If Rick wants a good driver keep Jr for one more year and then dump him after 2011...some guy who drives the #99 will be a free agent....lol

Junior is a money maker for Hendrick despite is poor performance the past couple of years. I don’t see Dale being release unless Hendrick cannot find him a sponsor for next year.

All of the money Dale Jr. makes off of Hendrick w/ endorsements keeps him there.
Also, he and Rick have a father-son bond together.
Here's how I feel the lineup for Hendrick will be; Johnson, Gordon, Kahne, Jr.
Brad's not going anywhere for a long time I feel.
He's winning like crazy, and has a race team who has their head on their shoulders.
Im not saying Hendrick doesnt, they do, but Penske is headign in the right direction, both in Nationwide AND Srint Cup.
Just giving my say in it.

say hello to mr richard childress. this hendrick deal was a disaster, not that i think jr does better anywhere else, but kasey has to go somewhere and martin doesn't seem to be backing down any. can u say 25 budweiser chevy? i sure can and on the name plate reads kasey kahne.
with that i see rpm going down the tubes, cause i think menard moves on, salder isn't offered a new contract and who knows with AJ. their cars are up and down, and more down than up.
childress can get a 4th car ready quick and jr's name will bring a new sponsor along. that's where i see him next year.

If youre in your 50's, doing what you love, and doing GOOD at it, why would you hang it up?

Brad is winning like crazy? In the feeder series where he should win. But I think Brad stays at Penske, because he has a good thing there, and has run very well. Results don't show, but he has been doing great.
Junior stays at Hendrick. Look how Mark is doing, maybe he will retire early, since he is having a tough season. That 88/5 shop isn't working. Put the 48 with 8 and 24 with the 5. Do something Rick. There is no reason Junior and Mark can't finish in the top 10 consistently. They are just too good.

I didn't think the Keselowski thing with Penske would be a long term deal, but now that he will be driving the #2 Miller Lite in 2011 I don't see him leaving...
