Pretty sure refs have been influencing the outcome of games since 2001 if not earlier. David Stern is all about the money. A drawn out Lakers/Celtics series will = lots and lots of money.
We all just need to get use to the fact that NBA refs suck and possibly crooked/conspire with David Stern, and know that all teams will have to overcome crappy officiating to win a championship. It's pointless complaining about the calls because one day it'll be in the Celtics favor, the other day it'll be in the Lakers favor, so in the end it all kind of evens out and even if it doesn't we just have to deal with this tainted product until a more moral commissioner steps in.

Please explain why you would want it closed whenever you request a thread to be closed.
lol, I didn't see this thread til now. After my last post in the previous Game 2 thread, my gf came over with food. So I left my computer and missed seeing that thread closed. I wanted to respond to the last few posts in that thread so I went ahead and moved it back into Basketball Chat and reopened it. Perhaps we'll just merge the two threads into one. Once Game 3 starts, we'll probably close this one and focus our posts on the new Game 3 thread.
Jesse, your request shows a lack of respect to other SCF members. Many of us wanted to keep posting on that thread. That was/is a good thread. Requesting a thread to be closed is like a player requesting timeout from a ref/umpire. The player does not automatically get time out unless and until the ref/umpire grants it. My point is the staff is under no obligation to grant your request. We will usually grant your request if it is in the best interest of SCF and its members. My PM box is open if anyone disagrees.
