Property of... (Sale Prices??)

Hello my handsome (and beautiful) fellow collectors (fanatics ). Hopefully everyone is fine and well...and didn't go through one heck of a rainstorm like we did here on the South Shore of Nova Scotia last night. Yikes.

So I need some of the collective knowledge of the community. This is concerning the Property of cards that are a bit of a hot item for collector's. I haven't really paid very much mind to them myself, so I'm a bit uneducated on what these usually sell for?

Obviously as 1/1's you aren't going to get a consensus. I'd like to know a rough average on past sale prices? If someone here (and I'm sure a few do) actually have one or more of these in their collections, and wouldn't mind divulging what they paid; that would be great.

there is no average price for these things. i've seen them go as low as $250 to $5K+.

At one stage I thought there was a tracker kept somewhere on a hobby board that logged all the Ebay sales and whatnot for this. I could be having muddle memories with the Cup Black Rainbow 1/1's though. There was another thread on the topic a couple months back but it quickly degenerated.

I checked around for that actually Rich, and couldn't find it. Think maybe my memories were a bit muddled as well.

Clearly there's a REASON I'm asking this LOL. Just trying to make sure I'm not totally losing my mind and doing something rather stupid.

Did an eBay search for completed listings, and only found a Teemu Selanne that hadn't been bought, and a second listing for it at $500 with no bids. So I couldn't even really use that as a reference.

Nothing easy is ever simple, eh? When I had that offer for the last batch of Gorges pickups I only had one real completed sale on the Ice Patch /10 to use to decide whether the offer was reasonable and thus whether to jump on it.

Hopefully you can find something worthwhile to use to help your decision. :)

Well, this thread is somewhat irrelevant now (the show and tell thread will explain that), but I think we should look into making a tracker thread for these things. They seem to be a bit of a hot item, and tough to get past prices on.
