09-10 SP Game Used Brodeur Patch . . . Mistake? a Fake?
Was intrigued by this card on Ebay, so I won the auction. I do not recall Marty wearing a jersey with theses colors in a Devils game, All Star game, or international play. The back of the card says worn in an official NHL game, so that would disqualify international play anyway. I'm thinking its a mistake by UD. This can very easily be a Penguins patch. Thought??

I remember seeing that card on eBay but I didn't want to bid because of the patch. I assume it's an error by UD because it looks like a Pens jersey but I'm curious to hear other opinions.

The shape leads me to believe it is a stripe or a number/letter. Pens numbering and lettering is white glacial twill on black jerseys... and the shape doesent match anything else on the Pens jerseys. Perhaps Anaheim or Dallas? You could send a photo to UD and see what they say...

Chris from UD emailed me back. He has been extremely helpful. I am going to send the card to them for inspection. They are going to look into where this patch came from and get back to me. I commend Upper Deck for getting back to me in a timely fashion and helping me with the mystery card.
