BAP auto set each year is a very highly collected set, so it all depends how deep the pockets of the set collectors are, and of course malkin collectors. 2500 - 3000$ is rediculous, but 800 - 1000$ will probably be the reality of it if it shows up

I don't think it matters that its Malkin at all. It could be a signifigantly lesser player and sell for the same or more actually. My reasoning: I haven't seen too many serious Malkin collectors out there. He is an expensive player on a highly collected team. No one is in serious contention for a master set of this guy and can't be without a 1/1. Some lesser players have much more die hard followings with rabid collectors that will fight to the death for a 1/1. Especially if it is a guy who rarely gets high end cards. As stated, the set collectors will drive this price on the Malkin. I don't think $1000 is a stretch on it and I would think the same no matter the name of the player who became this set SSP. Reminds me of the Titanium Ty Conklin situation.

It will be interesting to see if it ever surfaces. When/if it does, I think it could easily sell for $500 or more.

I heard the malkin card really makes your bike hum. It is on a bit thicker cardboard then the rest.

imagine if someone pulled it already and they aren't aware of hockey card forums or eBay.

I've always wondered about this. How many short prints, 1/1s, sp autos, etc. are out there that people don't realize they have? I know prices through the past few years have helped people who aren't serious about the hobby to stay away, but there has to be a fair amount of those cards still sitting in packs or stored away forever by people who don't know what they have or what it's worth. It's just interesting to think big picture sometimes.

I would say prolly about 300 or so. Yea it is a 1 of 1 but the sticker part of it kills it and the BAP is not a HUGE expensive set....
