    Question for Custom Card makers

I have 2 questions. One, how do you guys get the "glow" around the image of the players and two, how do you fade the bottoms? I have searched the internet for these answers and have been unsuccessful thus far. Can anyone of you awesome card makers help please?

    Thanks,

    Mike

I think you are looking for the drop shadow effect for the fade. Either that or you can change the opacity of the image and that will fade it. You can achieve the gow by doing a drop shadow and changing the shadow color to white.

Well, I just want to fade the bottom so the player has a place to sign. Not the whole image.

to fade the bottom use the gradient tool and change it so its white to transparent, start from the bottom and drag it up and get it the way you want to look

I would make a layer mask on the image you want to fade and then use a soft brush with the opacity at around 45% and paint the area with a black brush. This will make the bottom fade away and if you screw up, all you have to do is chose the white color brush and paint it back in.
