my jon gilmore collection

i got curious about jon gilmore after seeing him as the other play on the jason heyward bowman dual auto. so i did a little research on him. i found out that hes not the greatest player but hes put up solid numbers everywhere hes been as a pro. so i checked ebay and his stuff is very cheap(2-3 for bowman chrome autos, 5ish for refractor autos 10ish for xfractor autos and 2-3 for other base autos such as sterling and elite) so i figure maybe he wouldnt be a terrible player to prospect. i know he will never be a star and might never make it to the show but his stuff is cheap enough that its fun and if he doesnt make it to the bigs i wont be out much and i may just keep collecting him because it would be cool to be a super collector. if he does i may be able to make a little money. anyway ive been at it for a few weeks and here is what i have so far what do you guys think?

here is my count so far(anything not pictured is on its way from ebay or these boards)

4 bowman sterling autos
3 bowman chrome refracor auto
3 bowman chrome xfractor autos
1 bowman chrome blue refractor auto

all 21 of these have come at a total cost of 111.47

very nice start, hope he pans out for you, is he still in the braves farm system?

thanks. hes in the white sox system at high class A. i believe he was the key piece in the braves trade for javier vazquez, hes having a good year hitting .330 with 89 hits in 62 games so hopefully he moves up to AA soon. i read a little on him before starting to pick him up and the one scouting report i read said "he has tons of untapped potential" so hopefully he taps into that at somepoint lol.

haha yeah, he has a chance with the sox, considering that they moved Gordon Beckham to 2nd base

yea im hoping he manages to break into his own while the sox still have a revolving door at third base. my favorite thing about him is that im into him almost nothing so if he doesnt do anything im out almost nothing.
