    One-touch UV protection?

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has actually experimented to assess the effectiveness of one-touch UV protection. Are they extremely effective in preventing all forms of fading? Or do they only slow the fading process? I am currently running an experiment of my own but I'd like to hear others weigh in on this as well.

I think the ones like Pro-Mold have some significant UV protection. I never tested the holders, but personally even if the are "certified" I woudn't put my best cards on a daylight environment on a daily basis (I keep them in a box). I don't really trust any plastics to give a great UV protection, especially with sunlight or a light close to a holder (like some displays in stores).

Thanks for the response. I guess I'm a little paranoid about UV exposure causing fading.

let us know how your experiments turn out. im interested in building a custom oak wall case with built in lighting. UV protection would be vital. All though im also looking at the possibility of just using UV protective glass for the case front , instead of investing in holders.
