Pedro Alvarez has been sent from Indianapolis AAA to Pittsburgh.

He's coming Wednesday according to Rocco's post game show.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates intend on promoting prospect Pedro Alvarez on Wednesday. Alvarez, the No. 2 pick in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft, is expected to play third base.
The Pirates had been quiet about their plans for Alvarez, but his eventual promotion was a hot topic before Tuesday's opener against the White Sox.
