    Product Info

Looking to buy a box or two of basketball from 08/09.

Upper Deck is listed at 52.90 and the Topps Jumbo HTA is at 47.90.

I just started collecting this year and I have no clue which one would be better.

I was also looking at Topps Treasurury ($75), Topps Hardwood (76.00) and Topps T-71 Murad at $48.99.

    What do you guys think?

Your best bet may be to hit a CARDSHOW. Those are pretty much full prices. At shows you can usually discount those prices by about $10-$30 depending on the product.
As far as the product goes. I, myself, am not a fan of the Topps Murad or the T-71. I think the hits were too cheesy and too far and few in between.
Hardwood was pretty nice...Treasury I think, was borderline. Nice product "IF" you got a major hit.. i.e. Rookie autos.
UD..well..I hate ANYTHING UD..lol., so, I'm not the one to ask about anything Upper Deck.

Good luck though with what you decide.

The last time I went to a cardshow, the boxes I saw there were either equal to Blowout's prices or higher. Then again, I have only been to one show in the last 5 years.

Is it normal to find cheaper hobby box prices a shows?

Same here, I do not see boxes go cheaper than online website. New boxes, they sell $80 online, but sells for $95 in card show. Even older boxes, they still want the original price that was listed.

You best bet is go to ebay and bid on some boxes. You may end up boxes that no one bids on.

See don't have an eBay account...'s Items on eBay

Last year when I was in Miami, Florida for work I luckily found a card show through Beckett's website I ended up buying a nice Kobe/Payton dual on-card auto but after walking around I saw a box of an old SP Authentic, like 00'01 or 01'02. Now the seller was giving this other guy a hard time about something he wanted to buy and the price of it. So the seller came over to me and told me he wanted 80$ for the SP Authentic and I was oh...okay thanks and I put it back and amused him by looking at some of his other stuff and went to another table lol. I didn't bother to try and ask him to come down, he didn't come off friendly.

And at another card show in NYC I bought a box of 08'09 SPX probably around it's usual price give or take $5. My friend and I both bought a box and like the best we got was $5 off each of our boxes from the seller, can you believe it? lol, but the boxes we each picked were sweet. He pulled a dual scripts of Westbrook & someone and I pulled a 6 Scripts of Nash, Deron, B Diddy, Sessions, Billups & CP3. I guess I just haven't been lucky to find boxes @ a cheap price at a card show yet...
