Need some help from a know-it-all

So I spent the last 2 years in the UK only to come home and find I had a box full of hockey and baseball cards from 1991 (Opeechee, Score, Pro Set, Upper Deck and Ultimate)... The only reason I collected them was because a bunch of my friends did and I wanted to fit in (I was only 11 at the time ok).

I have absolutely NO idea what I have; For all I know, I'm sitting on a bunch of cards worth a penny each, I thought I would consult a forum with dedicated sports card fans.

Does anyone out there know what I should be looking for from that year for trying to sell/trade/rub for good luck?

I would say just buy a Beckett and go through your cards that way.

I'd get a beckett and just look for any stars. If it's 1991 I'd bet they are not worth a whole lot.

I Think the best way for you to see what you have without going out and buying a beckett is going to www.beckett.com and you can check out the prices 1 by 1 on the site for free. If they are all from 1991 ( the main guy's to look for are going to be from the UpperDeck cards) These would include Peter Forsberg,Teemu Selanne,Zigmund Palfly,Dominik Hasek,John Leclair,Tony Amonte,Alexei Kovalev,Kieth Tkachuk,Nikolai Khabibulan.

As for the Score O-Pee-Chee, Proset(Hockey there is not much value in these cards as there were many that were flooded into the card Market.

Yeah, use beckett.com's online price guide. It should be right on the homepage. I had a bunch of cards from the early 90's i looked up about 2 years ago and they werent worth much. Base set rookies will probably be about $5 for a superstar. But i did find a couple insert cards of Shaq that were worth about $25.

Perfect, thank you for all your help guys. I actually found a card worth a coupple bucks, but I dont think I'm even gonna bother. I'll just sell the lot on Ebay if I ever get an account. I was supprised at the help I got from this forum, You were all great thank you again. :D

If anyone wants the whole kit and kabudle, let me know and I'll just ask you pay for the postage. I really need to be a bigger fan of the sport to have the cards.

Hi, Any body like to know how much there card worth. I saw one website www.pricemycards.com i felt those guys are really good. They have very easy search mechanism. Those people provide that service as free for now. They have prices for the cards from 1900 to till year. Visit www.pricemycards.com it is worth enough.
