Artists Proof Cut Cards
I have seen these come up more and more and wanted to get the opinion on some of the others here on the boards. If this has come up before forgive me.
What i have noticed are people are posting up the Cups Artists proof cards.
example:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/08-09-CUP-ARTIST-PROOF-GOLD-RICK-NASH-BLUE-JACKETS-1-1-/400125891895?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Hockey_Trading_Car ds&hash=item5d295c9537
What do people think of these cards?
Personally i think its a shame that someone would cut up the whole set and claim its a 1/1. Its kind of dumb.
Why do this?
Id rather have the whole thing and not something that is cut up.. but then again for the ones that are cut up.. i dont hold high value on them and will try to get the player i want for cheep.

It is a shame IMO, they look REALLY nice all framed up. And people ask $ for them like the auto or GU is still there....it's NOT!

Reminds me people cutting sheets of 1980's O-Pee-Chee sheets sets, and sending the cards for grading at Beckett, and most got a BGS 9 or BGS 9.5 grade. At least the The Cup sheets have blank backs (I presumed), so impossible to let think someone that a card cut from a sheet is a real card from a pack. I think people cut the sheets because a sheet by itself gets no demand, so no big value.
