    Lakers interested in Raja Bell

The Lakers are interested in signing free agent forward Raja Bell, according to a team source.

In the story first reported by Yahoo! Sports, Kobe Bryant was named as one of Bell's strongest supporters, the pair having apparently buried the hatchet after a 2006 first round playoff series between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers when the two exchanged blows on the court and insults off of it.

I think Raja Bell would be a better fit for the Lakers as a role player, but I do also hope the Lakers go after TMAC for the extra offensive fire power.

I just like the fact that while every other team is focusing on the home-run players like Lebron, Wade, Bosh, etc... the Lakers have an oppurtunity to sweep up a couple of these key role players underneath everybody else's feet.

I agree. I love the discount a championship team gets for role players like these! I just hope we don't end up with another 2004 team...you know how that ended up!

Lakers need 2 more guards... so yeah, Raja and T-Mac would be nice.

    You're allowed to split up the MLE... so Raja @ 2 yrs / 2 mil a year, T-Mac @ 2 yrs / 3.5 mil a year?

    I like that

This would be an interesting signing...Bell, Kobe and Artest on the same team? Lakers could contend for defensive team of the year.

I'd rather win championships than contend for an award that doesn't exist

    Agree!

The LA Times said the Lakers are interested in Steve Blake, Earl Watson, or Luke Ridnour for PG.

That's a good point. They have Kobe, they dont need Wade or James, just get role players.

speaking of PG position... just a fantasy on my mind is to see Jason Kidd tosing some lobby pass to Kobe...

would be nice if that was possible.. it would give Kidd the chance to win a ring before he retires
