Good trade, I guess. CHI gets a 1st round pick out of it, and they deal away a lot of money.

zunato - you're right. Aliu is an odd one to toss into the trade. Last I knew, he was playing for Toledo of the ECHL...... I went to a game in Johnstown this season... Toledo was the opposition. Me and my buddy made a few comments about hazing :) We were close enough that Akim could hear it, and he had a few words for us.

Alot of people here in Chicago thought Aliu would be up with the team next year. This Morin kid (19 years old) put up some decent numbers last year with Kitchener, 58gp,47g,36a,83 points.


Over all a good trade for the Hawks. Drop some salary, get some picks, pick up a good prospect.

Who knows if this trade will end up being good or not, I thought there were some other players they could've dumped to save cap space over Byfuglien. Too bad, big Buff is awesome to watch and a fun guy to root for. Oh well, we got a Cup I guess I can't complain too much.

Yeah I figure the Huet thing should be taken care of by this weekend. After reading up on this Morin kid he seems to be a scorer. Aliu I know has had his trouble at Rockford last year.
