On the contrary Jordan wasnt as close to lucky as Duncan, he had to struggle for years before finally getting his ring.

EASILY the best PF - well :

Rodman won 7 consecutive rebounding titles, Bob Petit, Karl Malone, Elvin Hayes, and KG all have better career averages than Duncan.
Duncan is a horrible passer averaging 1+ assist per game less than the other PFs I listed.

Plus Duncan is a horrible free throw shooter at 68% for his career.

Again the only thing Duncan has over the other PFs is rings, thanks to where he got drafted.

I know you are a fan of the guy, but numbers dont lie

Bob Petit and Elvin Hayes played in different era than Duncan. Back then, the team scored average 110+ points. Duncan era was like 90 to 100 points. If Jordan plays in Petit era, Jordan would like score 50. And on top of it, Spurs is a defensive team, not like Phx Suns run & gun system.

Karl Malone does have better number than Duncan, but he has no ring. Malone is 0 for 3 in Final series. When compare the great players, number of ring is a main factor. You can have great regalur season stat, but never make out of the first round of playoff (example: McGrady)

KG plays in wolves and boston. Wolves depends on KG more than Spurs depends on Duncan. And you can see KG is not the number 1 guy in Boston. Duncan is still the number guy in Spurs in running offense. Also, Duncan has more rebound per game , more blocks than KG.

And Duncan is horrible passer?????????? First, he is not a PG. He doesn't need a lot of assist. And career 3.2 assists is FAR from being horrible for any Center or PF standard. Even Parker doesn't have a lot of assists under Spurs offensive system.

I really think you just want to cry so badly that your Suns got killed for so many years by Duncan. And Suns finally can win something when Duncan is about to retire.

Oh yeah, Suns was not even the rivelry to Spurs during Duncan prime. Lakers was.

So its not lucky that the best Spurs players were injured the year before Duncan comes out, and they somehow get the 1st pick.
    Thats luck.

Then the fact he gets to play with a now healthy D Robinson, Sean Elliott, Avery Johnsons etc with a HOF head coach, thats not luck???

Then the Spurs get one of the best SGs in the league, and Tony Parker both late in drafts. Lucky again.

Tim Donaghy and other small aspects make Tim Duncan lucky to be a NBA champion.
I never said he didnt have skill, just not in the Top 5 PF list in my book.

Again if Tim Duncan was drafted by the Warriors or struggling Bulls he wouldnt have been near as successful or collectible.

How many people really though Tony Parker was going to be as good as he is? The Spurs, like them or not, have a knack for finding talent. Ginobli was a 2nd round pick, and George Hill was a late 1st. Look at Dejuan Blair, he was considered a lottery pick, but the questions on his knees dropped his status to the 2nd round. How many teams are kicking themselves for not taking a chance on him? As for Pops, he's a great coach, but no one considered him a HOF coach until they started to win championships, which happened after Tim was drafted. I believe it took them 2 years after Duncan was drafted for them to win their first title, I could be wrong though. As for your last part of your post, how is he not Top 5 PF material? Is there really another PF with that is as well rounded as he is? Duncan has to be the #1 PF, with Malone right behind him. Also, had he gone to a struggling team, its hard to say whether he would have won that many rings, but he surely would've made an impact on that organization.
