OMG...another ebay transaction thread...

But not what you might think!! Seems like we always hear horror stories about the bay, thought I'd share something that happened recently that was actually positive.

I recently purchased a card on ebay - UD Black dual GU patch auto, Moses Malone/Hal Greer #/15 - and when it arrived there was a crease about 2 inches long (more like a "dent" like something had been dropped on the package) on the Hal Greer side.

I was bummed, this was a big purchase for me ($30 shipped) and the card was for my PC. I loved the card and felt the seller did nothing wrong on his end - was mailed in a bubble mailer and top loader, no damage in ebay pics.

I don't believe in leaving neg feedback unless I feel someone did something malicious or shady, so I simply messaged the seller to let them know what happened, and that I planned on leaving positive feedback; also that I didn't want a refund of any kind, and I wanted to keep the card as-is. I also gave some advice on shipping high-end cards a little better (either hard-case, or top-loader sandwiched between cardboard).

His response:

Hi, very dissappointed with the postal services... received that card direct from UD so it was in perfect condition when i got it.
Unfortunately **** happens, I appreciate you leaving positive feedback, I would've been happy to refund but since you want to keep it I'll send you something extra to make up for it.

Well, I wasn't expecting anything but today I get a package in the mail from the seller (who is in Australia BTW). Suffice to say, I think he/she went way above and beyond on this one...
