    Stamkos 1/1 auto question

I pulled this out of last year's cup and have been thinking about listing it for sale with a buy it now price on ebay. Since I have only been seriously buying hockey for a couple of years, if the card was yours what price you post for buy it now?

    Thanks for the help.

Well with BIN/BO. I'd say maybe $2000. But have a price in mind where that first offer is better than it, take it. Just make sure you got that BO in there.

With some of the crazy ebay prices out there id double it to 4000. I've never sold a card that high but id go big at first then see where the offers range. Maybe you'll get a BO of half that then you'll be happy.

It isn't a printing plate from the Stamkos The Cup Patch Auto RC #/99 card, this The Cup card includes the black printing plate of which UD product?

$2000? $4000? seriously? you guys honestly expect to get something even close to what his actual Cup RC might go for? starting something that high when it's unrealistic will only turn people away. most people don't even bother looking when a seller sets such an unrealistic number as the starting point. just take a look at the Crosby plates that have been sitting on ebay forever.

here's a reference to go off of:

UD Young Guns press plate 1/1 - $250
    http://cgi.ebay.com/STEVEN-STAMKOS-U...item519312eaf5

if that went for $250ish, an auto'ed version of another plate could do between $300-600 if the right buyer were to come along.

Finally, someone realist, moreover with a sale to backup his words. This is why we see so many sellers on eBay asking any kind of prices based on absolutely nothing. If it was me that told this auction, like I did with a Made To Order card few days ago, I would had received a deluge of bananas.

It isn't that the seller may get $2000, the fact that someone may offer maybe $1000. Than take it, hence the BO on eBay. You think people who put BIN with BO expect to get full price? Of course not, but they have a price in their head, and if someone offers more than that price, boom sold.

An Orr auto 1 of 1 sold for 1001.00 US.
    Stamkos is not Orr.

This comparison is not accurate; otherwise no cards would sell higher than $1001.00US.

Orr auto 1 of 1 sold for 1001.00 US, the autos plates there's 4 of each, because of the 4 colors, so really to me it's 1/4, not 1/1.
