Best Decision You Made In The Hobby?

So as I sent out a few more TTM autograph requests today, I thought to myself that becoming a TTM autograph collector has to be one of the best decisions I've made concerning my collecting hobby.

I love finding and pulling cards of guys that sign and then receiving them signed in the mail. It can make below average breaks very good. For example, I opened two packs of UD Greats Of The Game basketball with no hits. After getting cards signed by Bill Sharman and Robert Parish, the packs were more than worth it! Brings joy and awesome additions to my collection on a daily basis.

What I'm wondering is, what is your best or favorite decision you've made in the hobby? Is it collecting a certain player, putting together a certain set, etc.? Not so much what card you sold at the right time or that type of thing, more along the collecting things. Anybody else make a decision like I did?

i love my decision of getting into the TTM/IP part of autographs. like you, when i buy packs of cards, especially rookies, i always look through and pick out the good ttmers and the others who i could try IP. for example, i'd rather meet adrian gonzalez rather than buy one off here.....

Collecting Mattias Ritola. He is a hockey player from the 08/09 rookie class. He plays for my hometown Detroit Red Wings. He is the low-end rookie from the 4 Wings RC's put out in 2008/09. I am a year late, but I have a chance to get every card beside plates.

    Nice thread! :)

I think my best decision was stop spending money on packs and concentrate on picking up singles for my Bulls PC and Auto PC. Very happy with all the autos of legends/players I like and Bulls cards I was able to get for my limited budget.

The TTM sounds interesting, I might try it for some of the harder to get players.

I love TTm for the very same reasons y'all do, makes my low-end breaks more fun as i look for cards to get signed.

Best decision I made was collecting Washington Wizards, and sticking to it too. They've been my team since I was 7, and to have so many autographs and GUs of my favorite team is a great feeling indeed.
