Switch PC players
I'm thinking of selling my Shea Weber PC and starting a Jared Cowen or Brett Connolly PC starting at the beginning of the 10-11 Hobby year (August). It's just becoming quite hard to get Weber PC cards and I think it may be a good idea.
1. Do you think it would be a good idea to sell my Weber PC?
2. Would anyone be willing to buy my PC out in large lots?

If you've got a lot of high end cards, then selling your Weber PC might be a good idea, simply because starting a PC of a rookie can be quite the expensive proposition. Some cards will surely come cheap (low end UD/Panini RCs) but others will be really tough to get.
You might want to test the market on your new PC players first. Try and get some of their ITG cards and see how available they are. That should help you gauge if you're making a move you won't later regret.

here is what i would do:
i would KEEP all Weber-cards from his RC-year and sell the rest
in my mind the RC-year is all that matters and you will still have the thrill to hunt down some of the cards you are missing from this year.
and i would do the same with all new PC-players, just concentrate on the RC-year and you can move on to another player next year ... and so on ...
if you still can land some nice cards outside the RC-year take them, but don't buy them or overpay in trades for them

Lots of people are into and then out of player collections these days.
I would love to see someone start one of these PC's and stick with the player forever.
Here's what can happen:

My answer is no, stay with Weber, he's a great young d-man. Buy what you can, because you can't it all anyway, and enjoy what you have.
