Just before spring training starts - the guys show up and deal with bags of mail that accumulate over the summer. In pretty short order last September I got Price & Iginla stuff TTM.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

There are some summer home addresses in the database. Such as Colin White (I think) and Daniel Carcillo. I would say the best time would be near the end of the season. Most players nearly ALWAYS check their mail after the season is finished. If you send in the beginning of the season just expect to wait until the season is finished. Iv had a couple (current players) successes come in the mailbox during the season, but a ton of them came in after ther season was finished.
The old timerse are always the way to go though. Bobby Clarke is the fastest old timer signer. Took 2 weeks to send to the States and back to Canada.
Best current player to sign IMO, is Travis Zajac. One of my favourite autos came from him. The NJ Devils are very good at signing TTM autographs. Home addresses of Rolston, Parise, Zajac, and Colin White are all in the database.
Philippe Paradis is also a great signer.
PM me if you need anymore info/help on TTM autos.
A lot of successes can be found in my blog. Link is in my sig.

My 3 went to the Joe during the season. Franzen took about 4 months and sent imidiately after the season was over. Ozzie middle of the season and 2 month wait, and Draper went out at the start of the 2008 playoffs, and was back before they won the Cup (signed and sent back in the middle of a Cup winning playoff run!!!) so you never really know!

A few members can make some pretty cool customs for you for a pretty cheap price.
And I also forgot that you should beware of all of the players that will get forgers to stamp, or sign there autographs for you. Players such as Gretzky will autopen his auto, Modano will get a ghost signer to sign for him, I hear Lidstrom will stamp his autograph. A lot of these fakes are obvious. Gretzkys is obvious because the signature will look all bubbly, wet and gooey. Modanos is easy to tell by the way the "M" is when the ghost signer signs his name PLUS the returns are always really fast (usually a week). I heard a story...Modano was gone on a trip somewhere in the States and the autographs came back to the sender, within a week. How obvious is that? Iv haven't really seen pics of Lidstroms though. Just beware of all of the big names in hockey. Players such as Johnny Bower and Brett Hull are great signers even though they were the hockeys finest players back then.

really good advice andrew and i was doing TTM 16 years ago and it always took really long to get my autographed cards back in the mail. i would go with right before all the players arrive for trainging camp. Some of the players that sent me back autos were:
paul kariya (photo signature)
temmu sellane (card auto)
eric lindros (fake mini photo)
pavel bure (multiple times was a success, real signature)
ed jovanowski (card auto)
brett hull (card auto)
radek bonk (card auto)
john vanbiesbrouck (multiple returns, card auto)
wayne gretzky (look real but probably not)
daniel alfredsson (card auto)
ed belfour (photo auto)
peter foresberg (photo auto)
patrick roy (mini photo auto)
well thats all of them, and i also kept all of the original envelopes when the players returned the autographed photo/card that i had sent in. thanks for reading and this is a good topic...keep em' comming.
