    Ebay hobby boxes

I was thinking about making a ebay account to buy basketball hobby boxes. Do you do this? Do you actually get boxes cheaper than dacardworld or blowout? Do you ever pull good stuff? Have you had bad/good experiences dealing with the sellers? Do you use paypal and if you don't, how do you pay? Thank you all for your help and advice.

I have had positive experiences from buying hobby boxes on ebay. I bought a box of Fleer Ultra from a seller once for $25. The box was untampered with and in it I pulled a Lebron gu and a Greg Oden Lucky 13, which was a hot card at the time. Just look for sellers with lots of positive feedback and you should be fine.

Some of the boxes are cheaper some are not. Some are searched others are not. It's a gamble. I used to buy a lot on Ebay but now only buy from DACardworld, Blowout and a couple other trusted online sellers. If you buy 10 boxes, I would say 2-4 were somehow searched, weighed or somehow compromised on Ebay.

I buy older box in ebay from time to time. For recent box, I think those online shops have the best deal. You are not going to save much from recent stuff as the price is almost the same.

I had a bad break on my Ebay purchase. I went with the cheaper price instead of the trusted seller and it ended up where I had to open up an Ebay case due to not receiving the two cases I ordered and not getting any responses from the seller. I think the seller had something happen since they didn't have a single negative feedback when I paid and then there were 26 negatives posted after I paid of people not receiving their cases so not sure what happened. But from now on I will just go through the trusted sellers outside of Ebay.

Recent Ebay Hobby Boxes & Results:

    (4) - 09/10 Topps Hobby Boxes (Last Week) - Nothing special, few gold rookies, actually mailed Topps back because guaranteed cards weren't there.

    (4) - 09/10 Topps Jumbo Boxes (2 Weeks Ago) - 4 Letterman Autos (all # to 4), 2 Tyreke Mint Refractor Rookies, Kobe Bryant 1/1 Plate, Gold Rookie Refractor Jru Holiday and few more good stuff.

As long as it is sealed and the seller has a good rating, you should be fine.

Hi I would say buying boxes on Ebay is a major risk due to all the fraud there is these days, Daniel
