How do you organize your cards?
Hey guys,
trying to organize my collection once and for all. I primarily collect:
1.HOF Autos
2.HOF GU
3.Dodger Autos
4. Dodger GU
5. Baseball Autos
6. Baseball GU
What is the best way to store/organize cards? I was thinking about having a binder for each category. But then thought about just putting them in one of those monster cardboard boxes. The plus side for binders is, you can view cards much easier than looking at them in stacks. the down side to binders is i heard that if you store binders upright, the pages warp over time, so binders should be stored laying flat, which would take up alot of space (anyone ever hear of this?)
does anyone know of any good plastic storage containers to store cards that they recommend. will maybe a toolbox work? just looking at different ideas and options and see what you guys use/recommend...your thoughts please....thanks for your time and input.

that is a good question. I always liked binders because of the ease to view the cards, but that is perhaps true that the pages can sag if the binders are not full. i would like to know if others have that problem. maybe I should abandon my binders for a different means like the plain old super monster box?

i like the monster box but albums are much better for viewing cards. hopefully someone will post here with any experience/advice on albums.

I have a good portion of my cards in binders, and I've been stacking them upright for years. Never had a problem with pages bending/warping/etc. Most of my PC stuff is in binders, while most tradebait just gets cased/thrown into monster boxes.
Here's my little shelf:

I worked at a shop and we had binders sitting upright for years. Nothing ever warped, and customers viewed them often.
That being said, I use the 2 row boxes that can hold cards sitting up right, in a soft sleeve and then a regular toploader. That way if i leave enough room i can fan through them, and i know they are protected.

Do you put even your GU/Auto cards into binders?

No. Only my low end football game used (far right binder) that I don't feel like taking up a ton of room in sleeves/cases are in a binder. Everything else in binders is low end stuff (mainly PC base/insert/parallel stuff). All my GU/Autos are in the huge monster boxes.
