    possible mark prior comeback

on espn today it said prior was going to throw in front of some scounts for several teams today. Personally i hope he makes a comeback. not just as a cubs fan but as a baseball fan who hates to see promising young careers cut short like this. i remember 2003 when this kid was unhittable that was a magical season for me as a cubs fan and the wild ride they took us all on. so im really hopeing this kid can make a comeback. He is only 29 so if he is finally all healthy and ready to pitch he could still have a good 8-10 more years.

on a side note baseball america rated the top 10 pictching prospects of the last 20 years. stephen strasburg finished 2nd to mark prior. this was based on then being a prospect out of college and not what they did in the pro game. i thought that was really cool.

Hopefully he's not too proud to take a spot with one of the independent leagues. I'm sure any of the indy teams would jump at the chance to sign him, and it would give him some actual work instead of just a staged workout.

if he really wants to come back then he wont be. but if he showed anything at all in that workout then a team will pick him up on the cheap and take a chance. 2003 wasnt that long ago and you know people still have memories of him that season and would be willing to take a shot just based on that.
