Worst Break EVER - Any Help from Topps?
I don't know if this is how they did things back then or not, but I bought a 2007 Jumbo box of Topps from walmart. Sealed, and 51% off - instead of $71 it was $32 or something like that. 24 packs with 22 cards each.
I got nothing. Litereally ... there were no inserts or anything. Just the ugly base cards. The best I pulled was a $1.25 Jeter. Is there anything Topps could do about this, or was this just common for the 2007 Topps jumbo boxes?
Man, I am pretty ticked that I spent $30 for this ... i couldn't imagine if I spend $70+ for this!

Upper deck is the way to go. I try to steer away for topps all together other than allen and ginter's and that is only because I have been collecting them since they started the series.

Is it a hobby box because I didn't think Target sells retail boxes. But you can always shoot topps a letter since it doesn't hurt.

Yeah, Target sells retail boxes. This was walmart though - and it was a big box too.

every now and then they do sell older boxes
I'd call Topps and tell them, or better yet, if you have a local card shop and you know the owner, see if he'll call for you

I think I know what you bought... You bought a "Rack Pack Box"?? yes? Back in 2007 those packs literally had nothing in them except base. Did the packs have barry bonds on or have a clearish plastic?

it doesn't have 3 packs - it is clear wrapper, but 22 cards in one pouch, then gum in a 2nd pouch. is that the same thing? They didn't have bonds on the cover though either.

I remember buying a few of those that year, and they never had any inserts in them. I think Topps put those out for people who are actually looking to build sets. They even made the wrapper clear so you could see the top and bottom card of the pack.
Even more telling, there are no "odds of finding" ratios printed on the wrapper, which tells me it's no mistake, they never intended to put inserts inside so they're not legally required to state your odds of "winning" an insert.
