I don't understand why we would give him 3 years either, when he's already 38 years old!!!

wow, Pens have less than 3.5 million left in cap room. Wonder who out of UFA Guerin, Fedotenko, Hamhuis, Eaton, Ponikarovsky, Leopold and McKee they might sign

My bad, thought he was born in 72. Still a terrible signing though.

Yeah, they don't have much room left at all. They could still use another D-man or two as well as some forwards. They also don't have much cap space to trade away (Staal being the most at $3.5m/year)

Good to see Paul Martin getting love. He is my friends cousin. I was hoping he would make his way back to Minnesota but oh well. Hopefully he gets recongized in PIT for his abilities.
Anyways, does anyone see the Wild making any moves?

Right now, as it stands the Buffalo defense looks like this:
Rivet
Myers
Montador
Sekera
Butler
Only 5 guys, and not really an amazing defense in my opinion...come on Darcy

There are still some decent D-man available. But like you said, Buffalo typically isn't very active on UFA opening day.
