Grading companies
I am Not new to collecting, but Iam new to sending cards to get graded.
I have a few lebron Rookies, Kobe Rookies, and a few 1989 Griffey Upper Deck Rookies. I want graded.
I noticed that BCCG definitely does not get top dollar.
PSA seems to get good return after a good grade, and So does the Gold and Silver BGS with Sub-grades.
I think the BGS Runs $9.00
PSA Runs $14.00
Are these the top two companies I should consider? Is there another that will increase my cards value greatly?
Which Grading Company Is the BEST Choice to Grade My cards?
I am looking to increase the value of them greatly for sale down the road, Also Want Them graded TRUE and Right.
Thanks!

BGS and PSA are the only two companies I would consider having cards slabbed through.
SV wise BGS usually dictates a slight premium over PSA. PSA's highest grade A PSA10 usually demands close to what a BGS 9.5 gets.

i think with psa you have to be a member even to get the cards graded and the membership fee was like 100 bucks then they would grade your cards for the 14 price tag...dont quote me but im sure i remember reading that on their site...id go with bgs sure they get some shady cards with 9.5 that are barely an 8 sometimes but that strasburg owner isnt complaining lol...i have 10 of my super rare jordans being graded by bgs as we speak...their insurance and shipping fees are pretty hefty and always ship with a d/c number and insurance to them because i have heard horror stories of non tracked and insured cards "not arriving" and they wont do a thing if not tracked and insured shady employee at the po or beckett or just simple lapse of judgement but who knows always protect yourself either way but if your grading for future value then bgs is the way to go and besides their slabbed cards are thicker and so much nicer to look at

BGS for modern cards (post-1980). PSA for vintage. The reason is that BGS BGS shifts to BVG for older cards and grades them on a curve. PSA maintains the same grading standard regardless of the year. And yes, with PSA you must be a member. BCCG is a "quick look" grade. A BCCG "10" translates to an 8 or better BGS grade. The only other company worth looking at is SGC, but their popularity has waned over the past couple years. GL with whatever you decide.
