Humidity vs. cards

Does anyone know what level of humidity would be ideal for a card collection. Obviously drier is better, but what would be acceptible in terms of humidity. In my new home I have a partially finished basement and it is very dry and I am planning on setting up a card room in my basement when it gets finished so I am curious if anyone has an idea of whether humidity, if excessive, will damage the cards over time. As I said this is a very dry basement and it has infloor heat throughout the majority of it.

Just be sure not to stick all of your cards in binders with the plastic sheets in a basement. The Humidity WILL affect them and sometimes the cards will stick to the pages, especially if the binders are stacked. Keep them in seperate magnetic holders or the plastic hard sleeves and put them in boxes. Or you could display them individually, but be sure to keep a Dehumidifier in the basement running at all times.

'very dry with in floor heat'
You might be surprised and it's TOO dry for your cards. In a couple of years, you might find piles of paper dust where your cards used to be. If you are serious about this, maybe you need to find out the correct humidity required for paper storage and have the basement humidity controlled...
