    Good Vintage Year to Collect?

I'm thinking about starting a vintage set, but I was not sure on which one would be good for me. I want one from the early 70's, but I know I will not be doing 72-73 (Dr. J RC books way too much). Does anyone have any suggestions on a vintage set that does not include any very high booking rookies? Please let me know - thanks!

You can try the Topps sets from 75/76 through 81/82 minus the 80/81(magic/bird). I don't think the top rookies from these sets are extremely high and the sets were pretty small so you should not have a difficult time putting them together. Good Luck.

75-76 looks like it might be a good start; what about sets from the early 70's?

Don't know much about them except that if you take a look at some of the unopened pack prices from those years, your head will spin. LOL

Those prices are due to the scarcity of the unopened pack from those years. I know Maravich is early 70's but not really certain who else. If you are going to start up any late 70's sets I have a handfull of commons and semi stars.

I think I might focus on 75-76 (I would go later, but I want some ABA cards to be in the set as well). I noticed you only had one from this year, but I might be interested in some of your other vintage as well.

I think I have a few commons that I got from an unopened pack I bought. Hit me up if you are interested.
