DTV is awesome. I had Comcast for 2 years and had literally 14 techs come to (try) to fix it. Internet/cable went down constantly.

well 2 things occur to me.one its been a while since youve had a "tune up"the dish is not secured and when this happens you lose signal cause its missing the satellites.
two youre dsl filter is failing or something else phone company related.i had a service call recently where the ladies phone line was not receiving incoming calls and not hanging up.verizon came and said "oh its youre box and or its directv related.it was the dual splitter for the phone.it literally took me 5 seconds to fix her phone problem.not to mention the phone guy obviously didnt even try to figure out what was wrong.you need a service call.remember the dish is not self sufficient for life.every 1-2 years you should have it checked out and tightened up.hope some of this may help.if you dont have the dpp (protection plan)i highly suggest you add it to youre account.its 5 bucks a month and any time you have service issues a tech will be dispatched to adress youre problems.also it seems youre phone system is not wired properly in the first place.
