    PSA turnaround times?

I've only graded cards in the past through SGC (vintage) and BGS. I've probably had close to 500 cards graded since I've been collecting. With the whole Strasburg BGS 9.5 ordeal and my last batch from BGS coming back a bit questionable on the grading, I decided to give PSA a shot.

I paid for the 45 day service. They received my cards the 28th of June. I checked my e-mail tonight and received an e-mail stating my order had been shipped and the grades are available online. Needless to say, 41 days sooner than I paid for is quite impressive. I sent a test batch out pretty much having an idea of what these cards 'should' grade. Three of them had borderline centering issues and two were gem mint. In my last batch I sent to BGS, they weren't consistent with the grading at all, especially when it came to centering issues. Needless to say, the cards I sent received the grades I had originally expected.

So is PSA normally this fast? Or are they just lacking business right now?

I had used BGS quite a few times and their delivery was just as stated and what I paid for (The time that I used them they generally ship out on the day that I had paid for). In the mean time I decided to try PSA as you did - I too received my cards in a VERY timely manner as you did way before their "deadline" date. Ever since then I have always sent my cards into PSA without a regret...

Wow that is fast! From what I have read on their boards they can be slow during grading specials (taking all of the alloted time) but quicker on regular submissions.

Thats what I noticed with BGS as well. They always sent out on the day you paid for, which really sucks for those 45 day submissions lol
