    Need advice.

I`ve made the decision to finally give up all my completed sets to eBay. I need the money to support my insane habit of ripping packs/breaking boxes, plus I want other things too. This is getting very addictive busting boxes looking for that 1 piece of gold so to say. I have a few complete sets from 1975-2004. I would say the best set(or the highest book value set) I own is a 2000 Topps Chrome w/all SP`s and all the insert sets that go with it(the Unitas set is all Refractor). I have seen only 1 other complete set(only base w/SP`s and no inserts)on eBay and it sold for $250. The set books at $800 without the inserts, $1400+ with. What would be the best way to auction this set off. I definitely do not want to let it go for $250. I put in well over $700 to finish it off and I thought that was pretty good back then when the set booked at $1300.

Another question would be, I have a Ron Dayne SP that is PSA 8. Should I crack it open? I only have 3 SP RC`s graded. Peter Warrick PSA9, Chris Redman PSA9 and the Dayne card. Should I crack them all open? Mint is mint, but NM-MT is not worth having encased imho.

Just need a little insight on what would be the best to way to eBay this set and the others as well. How would you guys/gals here do it? All comments/suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

Other sets that will go(all were hand collated sets not factory issued):

    1975 Topps EX-MT/NRMT
    1987 Topps NM-MT
    1994 Ultra NM-MT
    1998 Topps NM-MT
    1998 Aurora NM-MT
    1999 UD MVP NM-MT
    1999 Edge Odyssey w/all SP`s NM-MT
    2000 Dominion NM-MT
    2000 Dominion Extra NM-MT
2000 Fleer Focus w/SP`s and all inserts NM-MT
    2000 Impact w/all inserts NM-MT
    2000 UD MVP w/all inserts NM-MT
    2000 Fleer Tradition w/SP`s and inserts NM-MT
    2000 Skybox w/SP`s and inserts NM-MT
2001 UD MVP w/all inserts except silver parallel NM-MT
    2001 Topps w/all inserts NM-MT
2001 Quantum Leaf w/SP`s and all inserts except that damn Unitas in my signature! NM-MT
2002 UD MVP almost complete but nothing difficult. NM-MT
    2004 Playoff Prestige almost complete(need some SP`s)NM-MT
    2004 Upper Deck(need a few cards)NM-MT
Then I also have quite a few complete base sets from many different companies/years(too many to list). And tons of cards just sitting in boxes not knowing what to do with them I have those seperated by position and in alphabetical order :new_shock ! Yeah, I`m a freakin nut! :new_Eyecr

As a former ebay dayne watcher.. Rare cards go good no matter how it is plain and simple... But w/o it being gu/auto may be a bit less then what u want

well I was just looking for insight on how I can sell this complete set for maximum. Should I include all the inserts with it hoping I get close to $700, should I use the insert sets as incentive for a buy it now at $800, should I just break the set down into individual sets(Combos, Unitas Refractors, Complete set 1-270 w/SP`s, Preview, Pre-Season Picks, Own The Game)?

I`m just trying to see what sort of insight I can get from some of you on this board. I like this board. Everyone is knowledgable on cards and honest. This set just sits in a binder along with the other sets doing nothing. I`ve had the 1975 Topps set in a binder since about 1975(most of the set anyway) doing nothing. I rarely look at them and when I do pull them out for friends and family(brother in laws, nephews), they look at me like I`m crazy. :icon_lol: So I feel it`s time to sell them. I do want to make the most I can and need your insights to get an idea of what the best way would be. I`ll sell anyone the entire set for $800 delivered. Includes the binder too. :icon_cool
