ebay: BIN or auction style?

So, I'm thinning out my collection and have a group of GU/auto cards I want to sell on the bay (individually), and I'm debating whether I should list them as 30-day buy it now's w/best offer? Or as 7-day auction style listings w/.99 starting bids?

I, for one, usually filter out the buy it now's when searching on the bay, as I like the "act" of bidding/sniping for deals. However, I'm not in a huge rush and many of the cards I'd be listing are low-mid end, some obscure players etc. (thinking the longer auction time/exposure of BIN may prove more profitable for such random players).

Just curious for any feedback on what any of you sellers have more success with, and what any other buyers think of BIN auctions in general?

i go back and forth on this alot. recently ive had alot of my auctions(probably 3/4ths) of them end significantly under market value which is highly annoying. luckily they wernt high end things. so my last batch i listed up as BIN w BO and im going to let that run until they are all sold. the fees are higher but you can gaurentee you will get your price or keep them.

Depends on your cards.

If it's a sought after card, go for auction.

Other, leave it at BIN and wait for it. You'll lose a lot of value the other way around.
