05-06 Ovechkin Rookie Showcase Question
I have two 05-06 Ovechkin Rookie Showcase cards that I got as a redemption from Beckett. I've been out of the hobby for a while, so I was hoping someone could educate me on the difference between the two. They sent me one, then a couple months later they sent another one with a letter stating that the first one was incorrect. Just looking for some clarification as to what the deal is. One seems to be a gold version, the other more of a pewter color.

Are you sure they both came from Beckett? I can't remember which is which, but I beleive that Upper Deck issued one batch themsevles (No-Purchase-Nesessary from their web site) and then made a much larger run that Beckett gave away for them.
I seem to remember the UD ones being Gold, and the Beckett ones being silver
Could have been another run of them in there too though. Not sure.

The UD ones were the gold and the Beckett ones were the lighter gold, or pewter.
The UD golds were NPN and the Beckett pewters were in-magazine giveaways.
