    Let's Play a Guessing Game...

According to Pierre LeBrun, talks between Carey Price and the Canadiens are still in the early stages. GM Gauthier has said that he hopes to have the goalie signed "before training camp", which indicates that this could take a while. So, with that in mind, let's play a game...

For how many years and how many dollars will Carey Price sign in Montreal?

    My guess - 2 years, $4.5M.

I could see it going a little higher than that..... I'll say 2 years, 5.5 million. Plays for just under 3 million per season.

Price doesn't have the performance to demand big bucks; so he's not going to sign a long term deal.

Traded before camp....Carey has decided against playing for the Bleu,Blanc, and Rouge, but it just hasn't come out yet.

Now that Halak is gone, he is going to try and get the most out of MTL as he can, but MTL won't give in to his demands.

MTL may end up with Jose Theodore as their starter again....

I think he will sign a 4 year deal for about 15 million, with bonuses for wins, awards and playoff rounds played.

If he's smart, he won't sign and he'll end up somewhere else.
If Montreal is smart, they'll sign him for one more year and give him a last chance to stand in MTL.

    1yr @ 2.5
