Website Guru's ... ? for ya!
I need to build a site for an upcoming event for my office, just a basic site that will allow some pictures and banners and an area where people can "register" to attend the event.
The most important things ... it has to be free, and it has to be an accesible site from our internet (there are a lot of blocked sites in our office)
so if some of you can point me in a direction, I will check them out and let you know what I think.
Thanks,
Jeremy

webs.com is a great place for easy to build, free sites.
I've had a site through them for a long time now, and I love it. (http://www.freewebs.com/nadeau01_johnson48/)

Thanks! ... that is actaully one that I looked at and it looks like it may work. Just having trouble figuring out something ..
Do people have to register for that site in order to "register" for the event? Like if I want a section on that site to say PLEASE REGISTER THAT YOUR ATTENDING AND HOW MANY GUESTS YOUR BRINGING ... do they have to sign up for the site in order to do that?
Does that make sense?

I think I follow ya....
No, I think Webs offers you the ability to add a guestbook type feature, which would allow anyone to comment on something without having to sign up.

GOT A QUESTION about freewebs!!
Important ...
OK so I put the guestbook on the page, BUT I don't want everyone to be able to view it so I figured let me Password protect it. BUT when I put a protect on the guestbook that in turn makes people have to join the site in order to sign the guestbook.
SO is there anyway to make the guestbook public but restrict the viewing of the guestbook to just myself?

Your pushing it there.

Can't do that, you can Password Protect a page, keep it public, or just don't have it.
Hope that helps.

Well that sucks ....
I put the site together and presented it to my boss, but the one thing she did not like was the comments being viewable by everyone, She wanted it public to post but password protected to view.
Dang ... anyone know any other sites I can use that allow me to build a basic site for info and pictures with a "registration/guestbook" page?
Thanks,
Jeremy
