Roberto Luongo.. is it him or UD?

As someone who lives in downtown Vancouver, I am starting to get very frustrated with the lack of Roberto Luongo autograph cards by UD.

For the past 4 years there have been no Luongo Limited Logos, no Ultimate Signatures, nothing. I haven’t seen any Luongo autos aside from ITG (which i don't care for) and the odd Luongo auto from his old Flordia days.

I'm hoping it is Luongo choosing not to sign much like Patrick Roy is picky, but it seems odd that there are -zero- autos from Luongo since he's been here as a Canuck. I mean is UD really that blind? Luongo, despite opinions, is one of if not the best goalie in the NHL, yet gets no big cards.

Does anyone have an inside scoop on why this is? After no autos in this years Ultimate, I'm starting to really wonder...

    Thanks!

i vaguely remember it being Luongo no longer wishing to sign. i know UD ran into problems with him back in 05-06 when they couldn't get him to hard sign a bunch of 05-06 Cup cards.

Be A Player is a unique set - it is mostly an endeavour of the Players' Association; UD is merely the vehicle for it (i.e. McDonalds, Canadiens Centennial) being product. There are no other UD autos since 07-08, which featured a mere 1 card: a Cup auto'd shield.

hmm, I wonder why that is.. seems odd he wouldn't want to sign the premier card brand.

As someone who lives in downtown Vancouver, and as such, an elitist

You lost me right there, best of luck with your collecting goals.

Don't know if you've heard, but UD is having problems paying the contracts.
