Building the Curt Schilling collection...

I'll briefly explain my history with my collection and then I'll get to the good stuff (try to resist from scrolling down).

Back in the late 90's and early 00's, I was a die hard Curt Schilling collector. When more bills and college hit, I had to give up my hobby for the time. Fast forward to last week and I decided to clean out my closet and organize my collection. I got bit by the Schilling bug again and have decided to rejoin the hobby that I once loved so much. If you check out my web site, you'll notice that after 2004, I don't have anything! The remedy? eBay, various forums, and my hard earned money.

Take a look below for my first mail day in MANY years. I've missed that feeling of anticipation so much!

I will continue to update this thread with all of my recent purchases so that it's all in one place. I hope that you enjoy these half as much as I do!

1999 Fleer Brilliants Gold #/99. This is one of the most beautiful sets ever in my opinion and I'm proud to say that I have completed the rainbow for this set. I just bought the Blue parallel a few days ago so it should be here soon. I'll be sure to post a picture of all of them together.

I really like that DK auto/combo, and getting the #'rd to 5 version, that's awesome. I love those cards. I recently was able to get a platinum auto/dual jersey of Francisco Cordero for a good price. It looks like you're hitting the Schilling with a vengeance. Already with a #'rd to 5 auto and 2 plates is great, and 90's inserts are just too cool.

Thanks a lot Molina. I've hit the ground hard and am off and running. In the past few days, I've bought 6 press plate 1/1s, 1/1 game used jersey, 4 autos, and a ton of low #'d game used. I've got my eye on one more or two more things for this week and then I need to slow down the spending a bit. Stay tuned to this post for more pictures!

Awesome! Keep that up and you might qualify for Schilling supercollector before too long. I know what you mean though. It's pretty easy to get carried away bidding on all the cool and rare items. It's the taking a step back and slowing down part that isn't so easy.
