    Dan Gilbert: SLAVE MASTER!

From the genius mind of Jesse Jackson:

"His feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. LeBron is not a child, nor is he bound to play on Gilbert’s plantation and be demeaned."

Obviously Dan Gilbert is just angry his 'slave' left his 'plantation'. Not like Gilbert was paying LeBron, or anything. Solid comparison, Mr. Jackson.

What a fantastic comparison Mr. Jackson. You should crawl back into the hole you came out from and be quiet. Although I dont agree what Dan Gilbert said and think he as an owner should have been bigger and better than "The Queen", I can understand his anger. Yes it's not Lebron's responsibility i know, BUT the Cavaliers went from being worth say $500 Million to about $200 million overnight..... (Not sure about the figures, but you get my point)

Lebron SHOULD have at least given the owner the respect of calling/telling him about his decision HIMSELF. Obviously there was some things going on that maybe we didnt know about.

I saw this. I really, really hope that the people that actually believe in this guy (Jackson) finally figure out he's an idiot just trying to make money on using the race card. I dont know how many people actually think he's correct, or if he's in the news just for amusement.

The essential points get lost in the details and our reactions.
LeBron could have let his suitors know ahead of time that he
was going with Miami. Gilbert could have expressed his anger
and disappointment more succinctly, without trashing LeBron's
entire seven-year career in Cleveland. Reverend Jesse Jackson
could have explained how Gilbert's tirade possibly endangers
LeBron, without throwing in the 'runaway slave' claim. Writers
could take the moral high ground and report the salient points,
defend the ones they feel are worthy, and avoid belittling those
they don't agree with. Has our ability to debate without attacking
been lost? An elder once told me there's only one person you
have to beware of and that's the person who believes beyond
all doubt that he's right. He added, "and sometimes that will be
yourself". Let's be respectful in our points, and not get embroiled
in the details and our reactions to what others say. The internet
is a marvelous tool, but it does not give us license to attack others
from the anonymity of cyberspace. We can all do better. My main
concern in all this is whether also-ran teams will survive such a
stockpiling of talent as we've witnessed with Wade, Bosh and James
all going to Miami, i.e. whether the NBA is going to end up with two
or three versions of the "Harlem Globetrotters" while the rest of us
are left buying tickets to see our "Washington Generals".

    Dear Jesse Jackson,

You make no sense at all, please go away. i'd be more inclined to call Jackson a racist than anyone who he deems is being one, because he has no basis to call out people for doing 'racist things'

Yeah, because as we all know, it was a common occurrence back in the day for slaves to leave the Gilbert plantation for the Arison plantation, even though they didn't get paid as much there, because the biggest and strongest slaves worked there and hence they always won the national cotton picking contest every year.

JJ needs to be shoved face-first into a hot, steaming bowl of reality.
