It was 1993 and Lindros-mania was sweeping the hockey card world. I was sitting on about 50 of the Score Lindros Superstar cards and things were looking up. Then college and life interfered and I hadn't purchased a sports card until three or so weeks ago.

A friend of mine called me to ask if I could check out the 20 or so Targets in the DFW area to try and score some Bowman blasters in the midst of Strasburg-mania. I couldn't find any blasters of course, but I started reading about cards again between this and another forum. Next thing you know, I'm checking out to see if there is a good LCS in the area.

Although I couldn't find any Bowman worth buying, Allen & Ginter had just come out and it was just goofy enough for me to be interested in. I bought a few boxes of A&G, a couple of SPA hockey, and one SPX hockey to satiate my fix. I didn't have any monumental pulls to speak of, but just cracking boxes got the blood pumping again for cards.

I've picked up a few boxes of UD Ultimate hockey, and will be looking to buy a case in the next few days, so needless to say I'm back in the game. I mainly will be collecting hockey, but will take a look at just about anything. The ITG hockey products look very cool, and maybe I'll pick up some of that in the near future before it dries up. My main sports collection consists of saddle cloths worn in important horse races around the world, including the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup races.

Even as a guest, the forum has been great. Now that I'm an active member, trading should prove to be interesting since back in the day I could never find anyone to trade/sell hockey. Enough typing for now...

If you want to buy some ITG cards you might want to look at some breaks the hockey has going on. All ITG product to boot too.

If you want drop me a pm and I can add you to the pm list of possible future breaks. Thank your friend for getting ya back in to the card market. I know the lindros saga all too well. I had 20 auto's of him lol. Were were 4000 not like worth 400. As I say the hobby should be about love not profit. As if it all about money it a hard hobby to stay on top without taking hits.
