My recent Penguins jersey pickup
On my way to work yesterday I had a little time before I had to be at work, so my Girlfriend and myself decided to stop at a flea market not to far from where I work..
When we walked in the door the first thing I took notice to was a lady who was selling a few different things, by her space she had a rack that was full of various sports jerseys...While looking through these jerseys I found a Sidney Crosby jersey, since I did not have One of Sids jerseys yet I asked her how much she wanted for it, she told me $45..After thinking about it I told her I wanted to look around and would more than likely be back to get it..
After looking around at some other peoples stuff who also had jerseys before we went to leave I went back to the lady and picked up the Crosby jersey and looked it over, when looking at it I also noticed it has the fight strap, and a patch that says Pittsburgh 250 (I am not sure that this means but this is the first jersey I havd seen with this patch) ...I told the lady I wanted the jersey ...
Here are a couple pics of it..EdI only trade by Beckett price guide, not eBay comp or SV, TV..I also do not collect any Panini or Donruss Baseball products..

Hi Ed. I have that Jersey too. Paid a little more than you did on eBay. Just caught it right.
The Pittsburgh 250 was a patch honoring the city's 250 anniversary worn during the 2007/08 season. Here is a blog entry on that subject -http://nhllogos.blogspot.com/2007/09...nly-right.html
Nice pick up for sure. Mine also has the fight strap and the glacial twill numbers. Pretty decent quality. Good for you.

Thanks Kevin, I couldn't pass it up with what the lady was asking for them, especially since I knew they sell for alot more than what I paid for it..It was a steal especially since I paid $150 for the Lemieux jersey I have..
Thanks for letting me know what the Pittsburgh 250 patch is for as I had no idea..

Whoa! Awesome pick-up! I think anytime you can find a jersey for that low it's worthwhile...
Who else did she have?

Not a bad price even though it is a fake.
From the pictures you posted the 7's look much thicker then the 8's on the sleeves, are they really like that or do your images just make it look that way?

I think it was just the way the picture looked when I took it it made the 7's look thicker..
The tags that were on the jersey when I got it say My NHL, RBK Authentique, RBK Center Ice Collection Authentique...

Unfortunately unless you know what to look for fakes are very convincing.
Check out this link if you want to know for sure,

What do you see in the picture that leads you to believe it's fake? One thing that stands out for me is the Reebok logo as it seems to have that curve on the lower left...??

I looked at the link you provided and looked at the jersey I got, everything on the jersey I got looks like what was posted the the authentic jerseys look like..But honestly, if it is fake, I do not care, I wanted a Crosby jersey for a while and found One at a good price so I got it..
I posted this to show the jersey off , not for a discussion to be started about if it is fake or not as I could care less if it is...Ed
