    Cheryl,
since you mention Lake Orion how come your not going ot Gibraltar it like only 30 miles from where you at right? It all express way pretty much to if I remember right. As my parents lived up in Waterford for 10 years. I don't know why anyone would buy packs when they can get boxes at half the price of LCS dealer. That show boxes have the best prices in the nation about half the time. Not many collectors can get so lucky.

    Don

I buy from DACW, but always pick up some packs from him. A really nice guy. And I live 10 minutes from the Mt. Clemens show.

    Which one is DACW?

I believe there is Joe the older guy by himself. He plays a lot of box wars with his customers. LOL

Also, there the guy with his wife.

Then there the guy and his dad I believe. It been a year or two since I set up there but I love that show sad to say. As the box prices are to DIE FOR!!

    * THE BIG KEY: Build a good relationship with your dealer... they're a LOT easier to work with that way.

Yes this is so true and it works in wonder, it may give you a gift once in a while once you have that special bonding. They appreciate repeat buyers that much.

If you're in MI, try Sports Card Central in Farmington. I go there every once in a while and the prices are really good.

I'd be interested to know what the NFLD folks think of Maverick Cards here in St. John's. Personally, I find the guy completely disinterested in his customers, and the prices absolutely nutso. It's a shame, because 401 Cards in Toronto, my old place, used to encourage in-store breaks and would sell tax-free if you paid in cash. Good guys to deal with. Not so much here on the island.

I guess I'm pretty lucky in the fact that I get to a card show every month, I always buy from one guy and if he doesn't have what I need then I go to my other 2 or 3 I like. Has got me some great deals over the last couple of years. I think the one thing mentioned is to bulid up the relationship and another thing is try to buy when there isn't a lot of other ppl around. They like to give there repeat customers deals but don't always like to give the good deals when others are around the table because they might want the same deal even though the dealer has never seen them before.

Yea, Gibralter beats any online box price, and a huge overall selection of boxes, tons of wax
