Your favorite set?
I know this is a question that has been asked before, but I thought I'd ask anyway - what is your favorite set, and from what year (eg. 1991 Pro Set....bad example, but you get the point).
I've been trying to think of mine. I really like the Cup sets from 3-4 years ago, and 2007 Hot Prospects.

i like 05-06 rookie update and 08-09 black diamond. i've gotten 1 box of rookie update and got a filppula/ruutu dual auto, not the best combo but the card was sweet. also very cheap, i got mine for $40. i've also gotten 3 boxes of black diamond and was never disappointed, some notable cards i've gotten from those breaks:
Wayne Gretzky Quad
Gordie Howe Quad
Henrik Lundqvist Quad - PC
Joe Sakic Quad Ruby /100
Steve Mason Triple RC
T.J. Oshie Quad RC
Kyle Turris Quad RC
Zach Bogosian Quad RC
Evgeni Malkin Premier Cuts Triple
Patrick Roy Quad Jersey
Shawn Horcoff Run for the Cup /100
some others too, for only about $60 a box i was very impressed.

I really loved almost everything from 2003-04. I really liked the designs (for the most part) of just about all of them. I really loved Topps Pristine, the design was, IMO, one of the best of all time. Topps Traded was also a nice update set that provided cards of players in their new unis and some RCs. If Panini makes Topps Pristine I will be all over it, trust me. If it happens, I will certainly be collecting the entire set.

My favorite sets are definitely ITG O'Canada and ITG Going for Gold. I just love the look of them. My Russell Going for Gold auto is one of my favorite cards and it's the only copy I've seen of it.

Favourite auto set 98/99

Auto/Jersey

And I just like the overall look of champs (both years) I don't know if it is the design or just the mini's or what it is lol
And I still love the O'Canada as well

2002-03 Private Stock.
Their were eight packs per box and you were to get one patch for sure. All of the jerseys, patches and parallel jerseys were numbered. That was very new at the time. Rookies were also out of 99 and I pilled a Rick Nash at the time and I sold it for over $300.
