In time this could become a huge story...
Now most this forum saw LeBron James quit on the Cavs against the Celtics, when Dan Gilbert called LeBron out on it as well, he opened a HUGE can of worms David Stern probably hoped he didnt...
From all reports, it seems LeBron knew YEARS ago he was gonna leave Cleveland, I'm under the impression that LeBron quit to make sure he had a legit reason (in his own mind) to bolt to Miami, and now with the possible tampering charges that could go to the Heat, i think the arguement could be made, of course LeBron will deny it forever, but what ever happened to LeBron's elbow? the pain went right away as soon as the playoffs were overHidden Content

The elbow story will come back when he couldn't score 20+ pts.

Yeah, I think everyone knew that bad elbow story was bogus.

I've heard conspiracy theories, and I've heard really crazy conspiracy theories. This one makes the Fake Moon Walk look completely rational.
Your contention is that LeBron sabotaged his chance at a title so that he could... move to a team where he could win a title!?!
Oh my god, what an evil genius.
It's a non story and will never be a 'huge story'. This is the worst kind of bald conjecture. It is true that LeBron quit on his team... anyone watching that series could see that. But what most sane people saw was a frustrated player, upset at his teammates. Certainly not his finest moment, but lightyears away from some kind of nefarious plan.

I think he was leaning towards the side of "If he doesn't win a title in Cleveland, he has a 'better reason' to leave"......

I understand what he was saying, I just don't see it as plausible. If that was the case, why go through the hassle of busting butt for the regular season? I mean, people can come up with crazy conspiracy theories to rationalize it, but it's a stretch.
What I do think is plausible is that LeBron played his tail off for the vast, vast, vast majority of the time that he was in a Cavs uniform, but when things got really dicey during the Celtics series, it was easier for him to let frustration get the better of him because he knew that he was leaving Cleveland. A mistake, but hardly a conspiracy or plot.

Everyone with a clue knows this has been in the works for years. Why else would they all have their contracts up at the same time? Why else would he quit in the playoffs? Why else have the spectacle for weeks? Why else involve Jim Gray, the most biased reporter in the history of sports?
When things make no sence at all it usually made to look that way on purpose. Its called covering your tracks and they have done a very good job at it.
What I dont think they realized is what a huge hit Lebrons popularity would take all so he could play in a larger market with better weather.
There is no reason at all that the NBA shouldnt look into this matter unless of course they are afraid of what they will find out.
