Need help making a choice

Alright, here's the deal. I have a pending redemption for a Trilogy 09-10 Clearcut Combos Toews/Alzner/Downie that I redeemed back in March. It's obviously still at the "Althete committed to signing soon, please be patient" phase. I have no idea what the holdup is and I know people have been asking Upper Deck about redemptions on Facebook however I don't use Facebook and never will so that option is out of the question. Anyway, this brings me to why I'm asking for opinions. Alzner is my PC guy and this card would be amazing in my collection. I've been waiting and waiting for it but I'm starting to think I may never see it. My question is, should I wait it out or ask for a replacement and take the old "Upper Deck Replacement" roll of the dice. If the card isn't being made then I'd obviously like to get a replacement that is equally awesome and I figure it'd be better to do that sooner rather than later, BUT I still really really want this card. If you were in my shoes what would you do? It would obviously be a nice addition to my Alzner PC but also, if I get a really nice replacement I can trade it or sell it and obtain other nice pieces for my Alzner PC. Quite the dilemma. Just looking for some good ol'SCF advice! Thanks for reading.

sounds like a nice card, good luck!!! i got tired of waiting on 4 redemptions and asked for replacements the other day.. none were as nice as the one you are waiting on though lol

If its taken 4 months, then I would maybe just wait until the regular season...
I think the athletes do more of their signings during the season, than the offseason? Thats what I think...I could be wrong. But I would just wait. Maybe contact them or email them if possible.

I have a redemption for the Stamkos/Doughty/Bogosian that I got at release. I just sold my Bogosian PC. It will be PC anyway, but I am in the same boat as you. I think the hold up for you is Downie, the other two are fast signers. I am waiting on Doughty, which is weird since he's had autos since then.

I'd say try to forget it for a few months and wait it out, this will be a HUGE card in your PC. Seems like when people are patient, they usually get what they wanted from UD. If it doesn't get made, they give good replacements in that situation. I saw one where it was for a quad auto /5 or something and the person got a Lemieux/Roy/Orr and another auto. Clearly he came out way ahead.

Again, be patient and you'll have a better chance of getting something good.
