Hello Everyone

I am new to card forums but collected baseball cards in the early 90's thru the late 90's. I stopped collecting after the baseball strike except for buying an occasional pack here and there. Although I have maybe 20,000 cards, most are what I considered semistars or commons. I did collect one player pretty much, that was Mike Piazza. I would get every card I could of him. I loved it when going to the card shop and owner knew my name. I would buy box after box of cards,
look thru them and put the rookies in small plastic cases that hold 50 cards.
That card shop is long gone now. I started back into cards after getting my cards out and looking at all of them. I am hard into buying auto balls right now as money allows. I have a Joe Dimaggio, Willie Mays, Stephen Strasburg, Wilmer Flores, Matt Wieters, Aaron Hicks, Gerrit Cole, Derek Norris, Carlos Santana, Lonnie Chisenhall, Jesus Montero and Dominic Brown. I also have several auto cards of new players. The hardest thing I'm finding is getting to know all the new names. Hope to get to know some of you.

Glad you found SCF! I am a huge autograph guy myself. In fact I take all those semistar and commons that are laying around and send them off to players to get them signed. Should you be interested in things like that look at the autograph cantral forum. There is also a memorabilia forum that is more for the certified autograph type stuff.
