So was Brad in the wrong when he spun Hamlin? Was Earnhardt in the wrong when he spun Terry? Was hundreds of these drivers wrong for doing the same thing.. NO! But when a crash is that intense.. people say it is wrong.. just like the Atlanta incident, you want to suspend him on the outcome, not the reasoning on why he did it.

No I am saying thatback when Sr. did it to Labonte it was a typical bump and run hit them in the rear bumper so they might get out of shape and go on.

These days idiots like Cousin It deliberately hit the quarter panel to ensure the other car spins. BIIIIIIIG difference.

Bump and run is one thing, intentionally wrecking the other car is Assinine.

Also you have to remember where this whole Edwards/Keselowski thing started. With Cousin It trying to block Keso below the yellow line at Dega and It has escalated the whole thing from there.

As for the Hamlin incident that is a moot point. It is all said and done apparently

You are hoping someone was injured? Not cool.

I dont think he meant it that way, just that Edwards would learn his lesson. It just aint cool when you go out of your way to dangerously wreck someone. I dont know why he said "He had to take back what was his" when Brad K had the better car all night??

I dont care what anyone says. Carl is the man! Brad tried to hit Carl out of the way and Carl used his SKILL to stay in the groove and keep it going on the high line. Brad was getting passed cleanly and decided to bring his fender into the equation. Was he really thinking Carl was going to take that BS and keep everything rosy coming to the line at his home track???

Hmmm the man huh? LOL long way to go there son.

Brad got under Carl cleanly, Carl was pinching him down through one and two. It was seen all race long that when you do that the low car will tend to move up the track. That is when contact occured.

Coming off of four Brad had the advantage and Carl turned dead left and took him in the rear quarter panel.

    Watch the replay..........It speaks volumes

Ever since the 'have at it boys' thing was implemented, there's been more 'rough' driving....yet Carl is the ONLY one who hasn't figured out how to properly wreck/move someone. It's pretty sad.

Look at Loudon....Kurt moved Jimmie out of the way to take the lead....Jimmie moved him back out of the way to win the race. Neither wrecked. There's been numerous instances like the Loudon one this year.

It's probably a safe bet that is what NASCAR meant by the whole 'have at it boys'. GOOD drivers know how to execute it.

    Just my $0.02.

Wow way to take what I said out of context almac377...When I said I don't care about what anyone says...I was talking about all of the negative comments towards Carl, not everything in general. Most people can generally interpret things like that ok. You think Brad moved Carl by accident? C'mon now

But it isn't a moot point, because the same thing happened. Brad spun Hamlin. Edwards spun Brad. What is the difference? And Earnhardt spun Terry twice, and both time Terry wrecked hard, but that is okay just because he is the best of all the time?

I am a fan of both drivers, just feel there was no reason for Carl to do what he did.
He destroyed a lot of cars for no reason, with about 200 ft left in the race there was no reason to do what he did. A lot of those teams are having a hard enough time making it to the track every week and don't need a Sprint Cup driver causing all that mess, and wasting all that $$$.

Nascar needs to limit Cup drivers to the # of appearances they can make on the Nationwide series, I mean Carl won a championship.....move on. What else does he have to prove, that he can drive better than a bunch of 18 year old rookies.

I understand that the sponsors want those guys there for a couple of races, but that should be it. Carl trying for a another Nationwide championship at this stage of his career is a joke, he should be paying more attention to making his Cup team better.

That said I think it's clear, that you can't race clean with Carl, either take him out or don't touch him at all......I just think other drivers won't stoop to his level. It does make for excitement, but hopefully not at the expense of people's (fans included) safety.
