Seeing if there is any interest - Die Hard GM Fantasy League

We all like to critisize the GMs for what they do and who they acquire, pick-up, waive, trade and release......Let's see if you can do better!!!!!!
This is the first year I am trying this website (Fantrax) so PLEASE be patient while I try and figure out their system...

This is ONLY for active die hard players who want the maximum GM experience and want to play more than just this year

• Live Draft Sept 26th - 12noon Pacific time (Due to Salary Cap - Each pick will have 2:45 to make a selection - so expect a long draft) - Serpentine Type Draft
• Auto Draft will create a team within the cap......but will you let a computer decide who will be on your team?
• 30 teams
• Salary Cap (set at 59.4Million)
• 25 man roster - 20 active, 5 bench, 2 IR AND.........1 spot for minor leaguer (first year trying this one)
• A LOT of stats - down to blocked shot, face off % and shootout catagories
• This will be a Dynasty League (you own your team from year to year) - 20 keepers - 5 dropped into a mini draft at next season
• Lineups are locked 5 minutes before first game of the day (watch those day games!)
• Trades go through a 1 day voting - 60% of owners (18 owners) needed to veto a trade
• Trades are allowed before draft day (now you can trade the #3 pick for #7 and #24 just like the NHL Draft!!!)
• 2 day waiver wire on dropped players - lowest ranked team gets 1st priority on waived players
• Salary Cap is
• Players that do not have salary info will be set at the default salary
• First Tie Breaker - Record against opponent(s) with whom team is tied
• Second Tie Breaker - Record Ahead in total fantasy points for entire season Randomly

A couple of ideas for the League also.....

• I will have a Thread on here about the league once ot starts (hopefully it will be Sticky to the top) so everyone can talk about the league and maybe some "Friendly" smack talk....remember key word "FRIENDLY" (let's not get out of control on this like 2 GM bickering over a front loaded contract and ruining the next CBA negotaiations or something like that) - You are GMs now....let the fans do that
  
• Somewhere either in the league thread or on your team page, everyone have some basic info so it is a little more personable and fun....like first name (or nickname), favorite NHL team, what you collect & your favorite PC item

FYI - Looking at 16 skater catagories and 8 goalie catagories....
the 2 active goalies need to play at least 2 games in the week otherwise they lose all 8 catagories

Everything will be assigned points...
ex. Save %
0 - .799 = 2pts
.8 - .899 = 4pts
.9 - 1.00 = 6pts

Goalies
GA, GAA, L, OTL(missed catagory in most leagues), SO, SV%, SV, W

Skaters
G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GV, TK, GWG, HITS, S%, TOI, FO%, BLOCKS, Match Penalty (minus points - no dirty players will get extra points)
and one stat I added....SHGFWOI - Shorthanded Goal For While On Ice...Credits those who were on the ice while their team scored shorthanded

Nice - but how many teams??
This one you will need the Steckels' (FO%), Schultzs' (+/-), Brunettes' (S%), Pitkanens' (TOI), Andersons' (SV)
This will be the furthest from teams having all-stars teams....

I am projecting this to be a ton of fun...but fustrating as you need to stay within the cap too....

I agree, this will certainly be very difficult. Should be very interesting. Just clarifying, everyone could have Ovechkin (or anyone for that matter) if they want him, correct?

I am still working on how it will be made up - (havent got to that part yet)
BUT - I woud rather have it like the NHL - so only one team has Ovechkin
