Welcome to SCF! I remember last year, when i first started collecting, how it was like to have basically nothing to trade for. Once you start buying singles, you will have quite a few cards to trade for.
If I were you, I would ask a member by the name of kidkanada if he has any cards that he would be willing to give you a good deal on. A lot of my tradebait/pc pickups comes from him. His cards are in great condition plus he has a whole lot of variety.
Here are some cards that he may have for sale. Id PM him for more details, if hes willing to sell, etc.

But quite a lot of people are willing to give you some good deals on here. Just a matter of looking in the buying/selling forums everyday to see if anyone is have a "blowout sales thread"
But other than that, just have fun. Bust a few boxes, etc.
This hobby is addicting but fun at the same time.

I actually just came across old cards from my younger years, teens and brought back memories.
How I used to spend hours shoveling snow just so I could earn a few more packs of "Upper Deck" cards to complete my collection.
I still remember the feeling the first time I completed my first collection!
Brings back memories, and I miss it. :)

It is a long and slow process. A lot of people on here have a massive collection but if you just work away at it you will too. I would suggest buying boxes myself. You will most likely get less bang for your buck but it is much, much more fun. Plus then whatever that you pull you can trade.
